To strengthen our team in the Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry, we are looking for a research fellow / postdoc (f/m/d) with immediate effect, in part-time employment (35 hrs/week), initially limited to 17 months and remunerated according to TV-L.

Your tasks

You will support the expansion of research activities at the Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry of the University Medical Center Rostock; research focuses on course and therapy research, recidivism research, quality assurance and reduction of coercive measures. You will work in a multi-professional team. There is the possibility of further scientific qualification.

In detail, your tasks are

  • Acquisition of third-party funding
  • - Project management of studies
  • - Preparation of ethics applications for planned studies
  • - Supervision of doctoral students
  • - Participation in teaching in forensic psychiatry
  • - Independent data analysis and interpretation
  • - Preparation of scientific publications and lectures

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Degree in relevant subject (medicine, psychology, social sciences, etc.)
  • MD or PhD in relevant subject area (completed or close to completion)

Essential

  • - Excellent knowledge of statistics (univariate, multivariate)
  • - Knowledge of relevant statistical programmes (e.g. SPSS)
  • - (High impact factor) publications
  • - Excellent written and spoken English
  • - Experience in applying for approvals (ethics committees, etc.) for research projects
  • - Experience in obtaining external funding
  • - Sensitivity in dealing with data
  • - Good teamwork and communication skills

Desirable

  • - Research experience in the field of forensic psychiatry
  • - Experience in collecting and analysing qualitative data
  • - Experience in conducting and analysing systematic literature reviews
  • - Experience in presenting research data at national and international conferences
